Wakerley (4154)

Wakerley (4154) is an outer suburb being some 15 km on the Eeatside of the city. It was named after one of its earliest settlers. As of 2011, 7,800 people were resident, their average age being 33 years and most were born in Australia, New Zealand or England, although a notable minority were also from South Africa and Scotland. English was the primary language spoken at home, although not surprisingly, Afrikaans was also spoken in a small number of cases as a second language at home.
