Doolandella (4077)
Situated 17 km to Brisbane’s southwest, Doolandella (4077) was officially recognised as a suburb in 1976. Even until 2004, it was sparsely populated with only 255 residents and about 70 houses, but it’s ease of access to Ipswich and Logan Motorways, has meant rapid development with a population of 3100 and 934 homes in 2011. Half of these residents were born overseas in countries such as Vietnam, India, and Fiji so that Samoan, Hindi, Spanish, Mandarin, and Vietnamese are spoken alongside English at home.
