Dakabin (4503)
Located about 26 km to Brisbane’s north in the Moreton Bay Area, Dakabin (4503) is well known for being home to Alma Park Zoo with its 20 acres of tropical gardens and Lakeside Raceway. It is well served with regular rail access to Brisbane, Ipswich, surrounding suburbs and the Sunshine Coast as well as having 3 schools and a prominent soccer club.
In 2011, about 1400 people lived in Dakabin, their average age being 33 years. Most were Anglo-Australian with South African being a notable minority and almost all spoke English exclusively at home.
