Blackstone (4304)
Located 38 km from Brisbane and 5 km from Ipswich, Blackstone (4304) is a suburb of Ipswich with a population of about 1000 in 2011. Originally named Bundamba Creek, the suburb was later called Blackstone by Mrs Orr, the postmistress after a village in Ireland. A school was opened in 1887 but later closed in 2009.
