Seasonal Patterns

For central site nesters:

Generally, foraging activity is greater in the warmer months and lower in the cooler months. Specifically, pattern varies with distance from the nest to:

• distal feeding sites – activity high in warmer months
• proximal feeding sites – activity high in cooler months

For multi-site nesters:

Pattern is complicated as nesting occurs in many food sources

• distal and smaller feeding sites should show higher activity in warmer months.
