Stair Rise
The Rise of a flight of stairs is the vertical distance between the floors or landings that the flight is spanning. The individual rise is the vertical measurement from top of tread to top of tread. It does not include the thickness of the tread. A person using the stairs would move this distance vertically for each step they take.
