Motar Pointing
Pointing is the application of coloured mortar over bedding for decorative purposes. After ridge tiles have been cured into the bedding compound, a flexible pointing compound which expands and contracts according to weather conditions is trowled along each edge of the ridge tiles for adhesion of ridge tiles to the hips and ridges of roofs. This then forms a strong bond between the roof tile and the ridge capping providing less opportunity for cracking to occur.
