Pool Safety
For sellers: The Queensland Government has made it necessary, from 1st December 2010, for sellers to arrange a Pool Safety Inspection and obtain a Compliance Certificate to confirm your pool fence complies with new Pool Safety Legislation, or disclose to buyers and the CEO of the Pool Safety Council. Now you can get a Pre-Sale Pool Safety Inspection as soon as you list or even better, before you list.
For buyers: If you accept responsibility for getting the Certificate you have until 90 days post-settlement to make the pool fence compliant.
For landlords: A Pool Safety Certificate will be required at the first new or renewed accommodation agreement or lease signed after 8th July 2011.
